Is It Dickies Or Dickeys?

Which is the correct spelling of this popular neck acoutremont? We actually spell it both ways on the same page of our web site, so we can’t be the authority.
I think it more important to just make sure everyone knows what they are, regardless of the spelling. A dickey is a fake shirt, with very little body, no sleeves or sideseams, but possessing a variety of styled collars to go under open neck shirts or scratchy sweaters. We’ve seen them around the internet at prices up to $12 each. Ours have been sold for years at $3.95, and are our number one internet seller.
The purpose of this news release is to announce two great new designs, at the same great price as always. For years, we have made shorter mock necks (normal is approximately 2 1/2”) for men wanting to wear them under uniforms. The shorter neck may not provide quite as much neck coverage as the regular, but it looks neater under collared shirts. Although all of our dickies are considered unisex, this new lower mock style, as well as our new crew neck style with a lap front opening, were designed with men in mind. As fate would have it , though, the lap front as been extremely popular with our local lady golf and tennis players, and anyone else that tends to be a little warm blooded.
These great new styles, and lots of other knit offerings can be ordered through our sister web site, Pumpkin Creek Clothing. Happy shopping and stay warm!
